Terms of Service
These are Sitebench’s terms of service. If you have questions, email hello@sitebench.com.au.
Last updated: 19 April 2026
These terms cover the website design and hosting services provided by Sitebench. By engaging us to build a website or by using our hosting service, you agree to these terms.
About us
Sitebench is a web design business based in Wollongong, NSW, Australia.

What we do
We build custom websites using Next.js for Australian small businesses — cafés, restaurants, hairdressers, gyms, florists, and similar. Every site is hand-built to suit your business, hosted on fast modern infrastructure, and designed to work well on phones and desktops.
We also offer optional managed hosting after your site is live.
Pricing
- Standard website build: $2,495 AUD, flat one-time fee. This covers up to 6 pages (for example: Home, About, Menu/Services, Gallery, Contact, and one additional page).
- Larger or more complex builds (more pages, online ordering, custom integrations, booking systems, etc.): quoted separately before any work starts. You’ll get a written quote and we’ll only proceed once you approve it.
- Optional hosting: $49 AUD per month, month-to-month.
All prices are in Australian dollars. GST will be applied where applicable and shown on your invoice.
Payment terms
We invoice you only after you approve the live site. That means:
- We design and build the site.
- You review it and request any in-scope revisions.
- Once you’re happy and we’ve put it live, we send an invoice.
- You pay within 14 days of the invoice date.
No deposit, no upfront payment. You don’t pay until you’ve seen and signed off on the finished site.
Revisions
Reasonable revisions are included during the build. That means we’ll happily:
- Adjust layout, colours, text, and images
- Swap out photos and copy
- Tweak sections to get things looking right
What’s not included in the flat fee:
- Adding pages beyond the agreed scope
- New features that weren’t part of the original brief (e.g. adding an online store after the fact)
- Complete redesigns once we’ve agreed on a direction
- Content creation — writing copy or producing photography (though we’re happy to point you in the right direction)
If something falls outside the original scope, we’ll tell you upfront and give you a quote before doing the work. No surprises.
Warranty
We offer a 12-month warranty on every site we build. During those 12 months from the day your site goes live, we’ll:
- Fix any bugs or broken functionality at no cost
- Make small content updates (swap a phone number, update opening hours, change a photo) at no cost
The warranty doesn’t cover new features, redesigns, or major structural changes. Those can be quoted separately.
Hosting
Our optional hosting service is $49/month, billed monthly.
- Month-to-month: no lock-in contract.
- Cancel any time: email us and we’ll stop billing at the end of the current month.
- What’s included: hosting on Vercel, domain configuration assistance, SSL certificate, and basic uptime monitoring.
- If you cancel: we’ll help you move your site to another host. You own the code, so you’re free to take it anywhere.
Your responsibilities
To help us get your site built on time, we need you to:
- Provide the content (text, images, logo files) we ask for in a reasonable timeframe
- Review drafts and give clear feedback within about 7 days of us asking
- Make sure any content you give us is yours to use (you own it, or you have permission)
- Keep your login details secure once the site is handed over
If we’re waiting on you for more than 30 days, we may pause the project and pick it up again when you’re ready.
Who owns what
Once your site is paid for:
- You own the final website code and all the content on it.
- You own your domain name.
- We retain the right to feature your finished site in our portfolio and case studies (screenshots, a link, a short description of the work). If you’d prefer we didn’t, just tell us — opting out is fine, no questions asked.
- We retain ownership of any generic code patterns, templates, or tooling we reuse across projects.
Liability
We’ll do our best to deliver great work, but stuff can happen. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected to our services is limited to the fees you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We’re not liable for indirect losses like lost profits or lost business opportunities.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Lawor any other legislation we can’t contract out of. Our services come with consumer guarantees that can’t be waived.
If something goes wrong with the services we provide, you may be entitled to a remedy under the ACL — including a refund, repair, or replacement — regardless of what these terms say.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
If a dispute comes up, we’d much rather work it out than fight about it. So here’s the process:
- Talk to us first. Email hello@sitebench.com.au and let us know what’s wrong. We’ll respond within 7 days and try to sort it out in good faith.
- If that doesn’t work, either of us can refer the matter to mediation.
- As a last resort, the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top tells you when. For active clients and hosting customers, we’ll give you reasonable notice by email before any significant changes take effect.
